We have tried to make it easier for consumers to take the first-step, or perhaps an additional step, along the path to a ‘greener lifestyle’. With this vision in mind we have designed cards that will help to reduce your impact on CO2 emissions into the atmosphere and stimulate growth in renewable energy sources. We encourage you to use these cards and to learn more about what other steps you can take to make a difference for a greener environment.

Upon activation of a card by the end user, we will send them a Green Certificate denoting their contribution and a window sticker for the home or auto; as well they may receive periodic information about the green developments. Some have asked us not to pollute further by sending information or certificates hence this is now optional during the activation.

Green Your Home Series:Green Your Home! Available in 6 months ($39) or 12 months ($59) denominations. These cards are used to offset the energy of an average US Home (11,250 kWh annually).

All of our cards are designed around the use of Renewable Energy Certificates as offsets to the CO2 the consumer produces through the use of energy. These certificates are produced by renewable energy generators from across the United States. WindStreet strives to use a positive mixture of renewable sources. We choose our partners carefully to ensure that we are supporting new renewables projects, as well as continuing to support existing renewable energy sources. We are an independent firm and have no affiliations or conflicts in this screening process.

We believe that the use of these cards will further the growth and expansion of renewable / clean energy sources across the country. When calculating our offsets we rely on government data from the US Department of Energy and the US Environmental Protection Agency. Most of our cards are based on average usage models, taken from the best available information. While we doubt that any existing model is absolute or perfect, the core idea behind averaging our models is to design a product that makes it as simple as possible for the consumer to participate and help in the fight against global climate change, reduction of CO2, and furthering the renewable energy movement.
